The Prerequisites Needed To Watch Free Movie Online
12.November, 2008
Can you really watch free movies online? You sure can. However, there are several different ways you can do this. First, it is necessary to have a good understanding of what types of movies you can watch, as well as which one are really free. Many sites commonly known as peer-to-peer networks are available in which members exchange video files with other members which they have on their computers. They typically have to use a specific software in order to watch free movies online.
For the most part, there are no costs involved with sharing, except sometimes, where you may be asked to pay a small fee that contributes towards sharing software technical support. By doing this, you can share any files you feel you require. However, one thing to remember is that most of the movies that you find being shared are in fact often illegal and break the copyright laws set forth by the government. Site owners protect themselves with a disclaimer that asks members to be responsible in sharing. However, many people are lured because they are able to instantly download many of the recent movie releases.
You should understand the penalties that are associated with copyright infringement - they can be large penalties, and it is your responsibility to be watchful. You should also prevent your children from illegally watching free movies online whilst sharing. Depending on your internet service provider (ISP) you can take steps to ensure that neither you nor your children access illegal free movies.
One method of watching free movies on the internet, without facing potential lawsuits or costs, is to find public domain movies. These movies become public domain after the copyright on that particular title has expired. Some companies renew their copyrights and some do not. If they do not renew the copyright any person can view, share, or distribute the movie any way they see fit. You could even post it on a website and stream it so that other people can watch it without having to worry about the possible repercussions.
You will need to have software installed on your computer in order to watch free movie online. Generally this means Windows Media Player or QuickTime. If you have a computer graphic card that boasts of a television out line, you may be able to view the movie on your television screen as well.
Some people do not particularly want to watch movies online on their computer. If that is the case, you might want to download the movie and then burn it onto a DVD, which will allow you to watch it on your DVD player and television. For some people, this means a higher quality viewing. There are several formats that will work with your DVD player, just make sure that you obtain the right one before burning it.
If necessary, you can find a file converter. The duration of your download will depend on many things such as bandwidth, internet connection, and movie file size. To put this in perspective, if you are downloading a seven-hundred megabyte file, with a 512 kbps connection speed and a 64KB/s transfer rate, it would take you about three hours to download your movie file. If you have an internet connection that is slower, it may be feasible for you to simply watch free movie online, than to download the movie all day.
Summary:
Can you really watch free movies online? You sure can. However, there are several different ways you can do this. First, it is necessary to have a good understanding of what types of movies to watch, as well as which one are really free.

I have the .bup.ifo &.vob files, now what?
11.November, 2008
i dont know now how to burn multiple episodes with menu etc into one dvd and what to use. i also get a bit confused with the conversion as it sometimes makes more than one .vob file which seems like duplication, why is this and which one do i use? i use convertxtoDVD as the conversion method
Hi OJ.
Well, you've raised several issues in your question, but I'll only address a couple (I never used convertxtodvd..but I've heard good things about it).
1. Although I'm sure (well, I'm guessing) convertxtodvd generated the correct files, I believe it is also supposed to have a burning utility as well…so you shouldn't need a 2nd program. Those .ifo, .bup and .vob files are all part of a dvd but need to be burned on a dvd blank in a certain disk format (specifically, dvd Video) in order for them to play back on a standalone dvd player.
2. I don't know why, but for dvds, the .vob chunks are typically about a gig each and I'm guessing 1 gig=30 mins under the standard encoding rate, meaning two hours of content will be about 4 gigs..roughly the size of a standard non-dual dvd blank. Whether the content is one long, consistent movie or several shorter vignettes, each plays back appropriately because the entire disk structure is governed by the other files (.ifo, .bup), which contain navigational and other information.
So, in anwer to "it sometimes makes more than one .vob file which seems like duplication, why is this and which one do i use?" I'd say use ALL of them (or more to the point, convertxtodvd should use all of them).
And, 10 points or not, that's about as far as I can take you. Good luck!
DVD Recorder, Your Freedom Recorder
11.November, 2008
With the quick demise of the old VHS Magnetic Tapes and more recent VCDs, DVD recording is becoming popular. DVD recorders work by ‘burning/etching’ via a laser to a blank DVD disk. Still, a DVD recorder resembles and functions very much like a VCR.
All DVD recorders can record from any analog video source. It can also record directly from digital camcorders via an i-link input through Firewire and IEEE1394. DVD recorders are provided with AV inputs as well as onboard TV tuner for recording TV shows directly. They come in different configurations: Standalone, DVD Recorder/VCR Combo or DVD Recorder/Hard Drive Combo units.
Unlike DVD Writers which comes as internal add on card in a PC, the standalone DVD recorders cannot read or write computer data. The great advantage of a DVD Recorder over a DVD Writer is that in order to record video and audio through a PC, the user has to save the video in the computer’s hard-disk using Firewire, USB, or S-Video using a video card and then copy the resultant files from the hard-disk onto a blank DVD disk, whereas a DVD recorder can record from video sources in real time, directly to blank DVD.
Standalone DVD recorders do not come with drivers that connect directly to a PC. In some brands, it may be possible through PC video editing software that allows for the exporting of standard DVD video files made on a PC to the standalone DVD recorders using firewire interface.
Copying and Piracy Possibility in DVD Recorders
To check software piracy DVD recorders are designed to detect the anti-copy signal on commercial VHS tapes or DVDs. It will not start the recording and display an error message either on screen or on its front LED panel display.
On the other hand a DVD recorder can copy any homemade camcorder videos or videos made from TV shows, copy Laserdiscs or any non-copy-protected video material. As it has a built in tuner for recording TV programs directly. The tuner is programmed to record a series of programs on different days and times, much like a VCR.
Thus any antenna, cable or satellite set-top box with AV, RF or S-video outputs can be connected to any DVD recorder. But DVD recorders are not designed to accept HDTV signals.
These are the various standardized formats for recording a DVD and they are,
DVD-R, DVD-R DL, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD+R DL and DVD-RAM

So what's going on with American Business?
09.November, 2008
As I look around the world today, I can't help but laugh. Americans and corporate American Businesses are going down the drain. So many are completly focused on profits, and not enough on their employees, their products, or their service. What's happening? Businesses should not be focusing on profit margins as much as they are the communities around them and the people they affect. To respond to this, I was asking what the viewers thought of a new idea for a business I'm launching. It's a small scall video production agency, which provides low-cost video production, duplication and DVD authoring. When I launch this business though, I don't want to let the community swindle away as businesses grow. So I was considering a donation plan such as this: We will donate 5% of all profits to the school of the consumers choice, along with another 5% to the charity of their choice. That's not all, and I'll post more information later, but do you people have any other ideas to help give back?
I think you guys completly missed what I was saying. Yes, I did post the above comment, and I'm using a second account to help explain a few things. For starters, I was not discussing simple throwing away the books, jumping on the floor and giving every last dime to the peace-corp so they can go around and claim success. I was actually discussing the concept of improving american business through means to give back to the community. If people don't give back to the community, what's happens to them? How can you even stand to work in a community that you just let crumble. By the way, for people who believe I've got no concept of business, I've spent over 1 1/2 years literally planning every step of my business. I've covered every imaginable expense, every start-up fee, ran every profit margin available, phasing plans for 3 years, every information bit I need, and also have had time to line up investors to keep my dream pushing forward. Sure Businesses need to stay focused on keeping their profit margins within reach and still make a healty profit, but must they make/take so much? I'm not lying or making anything up when I state that the majority of larger businesses can afford to cut some of their profits and reinvest them back into the society that they recruit from! I'm just sick and tired of every business flat out saying, we need to make a profit of at least 500 million this term, so that next term we can raise again make another 500 million, and then take it and swim in it. Is this crazy or what? That's basically what some businesses are doing.
And for the person who said that it's the same as second goverment, give over it. The goverment rarely can actually help at the community level, and when it does, it generally fails. Businesses and individuals are what should be contribuiting to the community, not the goverment.
Is there a dvd burning program that you have to use for you to play the DVDs on a dvd player?
07.November, 2008
I have tried burning dvds using both dvd-r and dvd+r but I can play them on my computer but not on my dvd player.
Cucusoft Video to DVD Creator is a good choice. It converts popular video formats such as AVI, MPEG, WMV, DivX, DV, VOB to DVD and burn DVD movie played on portable or home DVD player. Any video to to VCD/DVD/SVCD is even faster than real-time.

Sales for multimedia company….interview/postion advice?
07.November, 2008
I have an interview for a sales position for a Multimedia/Video Editing company. What kinds of sales would a video editing, DVD/CD duplication company do?
I'm not 100% what the position entails, but the guy liked my resume. I am a Video Editor/Project Coordiantor, and I want out of the editing business. I know in the TV industry sales is where the money is at. I'm just not sure what this position will be like.
At my company, we don't do sales (and this company that wants to interview me is just like my current company). So L'm not sure what to expect! The only sales I currently do is when people come to my company and ask what we do, what we can do for them, and the cost!
Any help would be appreciated.
Ok the key here is going in with the attitude that you are an open book. You will not be able to come across has a seasoned sales person and the interviewer knows that. What the interviewer will be looking for is your techinical knowledge and your excitement level. So research has much has you can about the company and what they do. Then in the interview show enthusiasm and be able to answer why you would like to work for that company specifically. I provided a link to my website for more interview tips.
Whats the difference between LP, EP, & SP when it comes to DVD burning?
04.November, 2008
I want to burn a DVD, and I was wondering which I should pick?
Will any of them make the quality and sound better?
Any suggestions would be great!
Thank You.
In ranking those video qualities-
SP- best
LP
EP
The better the video quality, the higher the bit rate used in recording, meaning the video will take up more space (and you can't fit as much on one dvd as you could at a lower setting).
Usually the high quality settings will limit you to 1 or 2 hours of recording time on a regular DVD (not dual layer). The lower settings can get you 3-8 depending on what your model of DVD player offers.
Best thing to do is a test run… record/ burn a few minutes at each speed, and see what the different qualities look like to you on playback. Then you'll know if you go for a certain amount of time on each dvd what to expect on playback at those settings.
The Long Way Round, did Ewen McGregor have any influence over Charlie regarding BMW or the KTM motor cycles?

No. They both wanted KTM. At the last moment KTM felt the trip would be a failure and did not want the negative publicity this might have caused. BMW saved the day.
Personally I think both bikes were far too heavy. They would have had more luck with a couple of Yamaha XT600's or similar.
