I have a dvd burner on my computer in tryed to burn a dvd in windows media player but it didnt work. I have a Acer Aspire T180 desktop computer

at http://www.download.com

here is a question that I have been unable to find info on (yes - I've searched).

I'm looking for CD Diagnostic software for a Mac (OS X). I need to check a master CD for BLUR errors (C1, C2, etc.) and do a surface scan before I send it off to be replicated at a duplication plant.

Is there any Mac software that does this (preferably freeware)???

I also tried diagnostic software on my cheap-o PC (CDspeed and Kprobe), but neither seems to work with my drive. So, I'm looking for a Mac solution.

Any advice or tips?

Thanks in advance!
ya thanks for you insufficient search. no software that does that kind of thing is in that list

Whole stack of stuff here

Most people just don't know how to search properly.

I made a photo slideshow on windows movie maker. Loaded it to a dvd that will only play on my computer, not a dvd player. If I buy avs video converter, will I be able to convert it and then burn to a playable dvd? I know I need a burner and thought my computer had one, but now am not sure. Help!!!

From what you said so far, you *do* have a DVD burner because you said you "loaded it to a dvd that will only play on my computer". You simply did NOT create a "video DVD" (which plays on a DVD player).

As far as I can tell, AVS Video Converter doesn't read Windows Movie Maker's output, unless WMM outputs to one of the formats that AVS does read. And keep in mind that the AVS output is watermarked unless you pay them the registration fee.

I have Windows Vista OS on my machine. It does have a DVD maker software on it, however DVD maker will only allow me to burn video DVDs. I would like to burn all types of DVDs e.g. data DVD, MP3 DVD etc. Does anyone know of any such software that I can use to burn CD/DVD on Vista OS? All comments and feedback is appreciated.

Nero is probably one of the best out there. http://cdburnerxp.se/ is also a very good free alternative.

I’d like to know any program, preferrably free or that offers a trial mode where I can convert my video files to video_ts files or dvd format. I’ve been searching all over the internet and could not find any that’s safe and produces good results.(If that’s even necessary)

I just need a software/program that would help me convert my video files to dvd format so I can burn them.

I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, on windows, never had a problem!

It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!

it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you’ll love it

1. Download ConvertXtoDVD from vso official site here:
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/?ap=regnow&aid=56510

It can convert any video file.. like
avi, divx, xvid, mov, mkv, flv ,youtube, mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg-, nsv, dvr-ms, tivo, ts, ifo, vob, asf, wmv, realmedia, rm, rmvb, ogm,

2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle

3. Insert blank DVD

4. Click “Convert”

5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)

ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too,
for example you can make your own DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.

I currently use Sonic, but its been acting weird lately. I would like a burning software that can make DVD menus for DVD burns. It would be an added plus if this software can do a shrink to fit (use the entire DVD+R when burning).

CDBurnerXP - This is a good free CD and DVD burning program that can be download from www.download.com

Deep Burner - This is a good free CD and DVD burning program that can be downloaded from www.download.com

BurnAware Free 2.1.3.1  This is a good free CD and DVD burning program that can be download from the following websites:
