What is a good fast DVD drive for Burning and Gaming.

It must be able to burn DVD-DL.

I just got DVD Copy 6 Plus (Corel) for my birthday because I wanted to convert DVD videos i have but when i click copy it wont, a box pops up that says, "This DVD is copy-protected. This application does not support duplication of copy-protected content. Does this software not convert real DVDs, only home video kinds? or am i doing something wrong? PLEASE HELP!!

Unfortunately, dear lady, what you're trying to do is considered illegal. The following site says this about Corel DVD Copy 6 Plus:

"It allows you to copy your own DVDs, not commercial ones, either to disc or increasingly to a variety of portable devices."

I downloaded a PS2 game and now I need to burn it to a dvd. Do you guys think it'll work?

It will only work if your PS2 has had a mod chip installed inside of it (which will probably void your warranty, by the way).

There are lots of different types of burning software. I use Nero and it is great but it isn't free (although you can find OEM versions pretty cheap).

I use Roxio Easy Cd creator, a program used to burn Dvds and music. Well I have bearshare and I have some movies I'd like to put onto a blank DVD disk but everytime I try to drag it from bearshare it wont let me.

Any ideas?

I used to have a horrible CD burner, and I got the idea in my head that if I had anything else open or was doing something on the computer while the CD was burning that it could screw it up.

Chances are, that it was just luck of the draw, since about 25% of my CDs failed.

However, I want to know if there is anything to this. Besides slowing down the burning process, can browsing the internet or scanning with an anti-virus cause a DVD burn to fail?

It really shouldn't, that is sort of the point of digital vs analogue media is that digital should create a perfect copy regardless of the other things going on with your system, but I mean I guess there is always a chance.

Burning family movies from my camcorder to a DVD. I burned 1 copy already on my Toshiba D-KR10 DVD recorder, but I have to burn 10 copies for other family members. Instead of sitting through and burning 10 additional copies on the DVD recorder, is there a faster way using my PC.

Sure.
Get the DVD you made in your PC and copy the Whole DVD as an iso file. Store it in your hard drive.
Then pop in blanks and create a new DVD using the iso file that exists in your hard drive.
