Video Duplication - Preserve, Protect and Produce
28.February, 2009
Duplication of video media is becoming increasingly important, bothe for home and commercial/industrial users.
Did you know that the VHS tapes of your wedding and the videos of the little ones are spoiling at a steady pace? Fortunately, video and sound can now be kept forever through the use of digital technology. As video tapes, including VHS, Betamax and Video 8 deteriorate with the passing of time, users want to protect their memories by duplicating them on other tapes or DVD. This is now possible thanks to innovative digital technology.
Not surprisingly, there is an entire industry centered on commercial video duplication. The broad fields of mass film, TV program and TV advertisement distribution call for quality, on-time industrial video duplication.
This is a fast growing young industry, as video is a powerful working tool for companies, businesses, industry, and educational institutions. The types of videos duplicated today include a great variety, ranging from musicals to specific training subjects, such as gardening, cooking, manufacturing, and many others. Numerous companies also use videos to enhance their corporate image. Video duplication services can also help launch new products, advertise new services, or simply improve your professional appearance.
To assist in these efforts, video duplication companies typical provide attractive packaging, with colorful labels, plastic boxes, brochures and company logos. After being dubbed, videos can be directly distributed by companies, or marketed by some other means such as magazines, commercials and direct mailing.
Video duplication starts with a “master” in any video system, such as VHS, Super VHS, 3/4 U-Matic SP, Beta Cam SP, PAL, PAL-N, SECAM, M-SECAM or Digital. Video duplication is carefully monitored as they replicate the media in real time. Special effects, voice-overs or script insertions are also available. Stringent quality control is maintained throughout all stages of duplication and enhancement, in order to ensure the highest quality end-product.
Video duplication encompasses a broad field of applications, which include:
*Promoting safety and security in schools, clinics and companies;
*Advertising new products and services;
*Informational and instructional videos for new employees in medium and large companies, such as safety and security measures or customer care principles;
*DVD’s or CD’s distributed with magazines on different subjects, thus enhancing the publication’s value;
*Video catalogues to advertise tour centers; and,
*Documentaries.
Video Duplication for Company Documentaries
Company documentaries are more than a trend in business communications; when firms need to expand in their markets, or improve their company image, documentaries are an extremely successful tool. Organizations can demonstrate production processes, reports, photographs, computer animations, graphs and testimonials to potential customers and employees simply by recording a documentary, replicating it through video duplication technology, and distributing the end-product to the target market.
Entrepreneurs can also benefit from the duplication of videos in much the same way as traditional businesses. Documentaries can empower them to expand exposure by delivering their message to customers and potential investors. It does not take much time to make a good informational documentary video. Duplication is cost effective, and the investment will pay-off, when customers and investors get to know the company, and discover the products and services it has to offer.

Life is Tough, Getting Movies Should be Easy
28.February, 2009
Although the aroma of fresh popped popcorn and a darkened theater with a towering wide screen lures us to new released films, most of us still view far more movies at home than at the theater. With the introduction of online movie rental and movie downloads nearly ten years ago, the selections offered by the local video store are not the only options viewers have for their home entertainment.
Aside from the improved affordability, movie fans enjoy watching movies at home because of convenience. With busy lives that keeps us at work and on the road, time spent relaxing at home is at a premium and any service that allows us to enjoy that time without additional complexity or effort is highly prized. With this in mind, which of these movie services provides the most value for the home viewer?
Traditional video stores can be convenient for some last minute movie picks; or at least convenient if a person lives within a few blocks of the store. If someone suddenly decides at 5:30 pm. that there is time to squeeze in a showing of the most recent Harry Potter flick with the kids, then it is certainly easy to get to and from the store and be ready to view within a half an hour. This assumes of course that the store will have a copy of the DVD available in house at the time it is being sought.
If Harry isn’t at the local video store, then browsing through the remaining films and examining the DVD cases may provide a hint as to what the family might enjoy. After the movie, the viewer will then have at least a couple of days to shuttle back to the store and return the movie before incurring any late fees.
Movie downloads are one of the newer options. Certainly, downloading a movie can allow viewers to decide at the last minute to view Harry Potter, or some other movie, as well. Just a quick 5 minute visit to the download site on line to select and initiate the download allows viewers to remain at home throughout the process. Most films require approximately an hour to download depending upon connection speed. The good news however is that many movie downloads are capable of allowing viewers to begin watching the movie only a matter of minutes into the download process.
There is no worry about returning rented movies that are downloaded or any late fees. Upon download, viewers have a specified period of time in which to watch the movie before it expires. Movielink for example allows movies to be stored for up to 30 days. Perhaps the one drawback for many movie downloads is that they often must be viewed on a PC rather than a television unless viewers have a connection between their PC and TV. The future however, may provide greater flexibility as legal movie download services may be better positioned to allow burning movies to DVD as some of the digital rights management issues are being addressed with movie studios.
Online movie rental services can certainly ease the process of selecting and obtaining movies. Users can go online and select from over 75,000 titles, nearly five times the number of titles offered in a local video store. Here users can create a list of movies in advance that will automatically arrive at their door. Movies requested generally arrive within 1 to 2 business days after they are requested. Users merely stick the DVDs in an envelope for the mailman to pick up when they are ready to return them; and only when they are ready to return them. There are no due dates and no late fees either. The most evident drawback to this system is for those viewers who don’t decide they have the time to view a movie until earlier that same day. Mail delivery does not allow such last minute decisions.
Online movie rental services are evolving however to better accommodate those last minute choices. Netflix, the largest online movie rental service, announced in early 2007 their service can now provide a “Watch Now” feature which allows customers to stream movies directly to their PC rather than waiting for the DVD in the mail. Although not all movie titles are available for streaming at this time, it does provide a potential solution for the occasional last minute movie craving.
One of the final conveniences of online movie rental is that the sheer number of movies offered makes it more likely that a movie of choice will be available. In situations where viewers aren’t sure what they want to see, the Netflix service is even able to provide recommendations based on the comments and ratings of other viewers and the actual viewing pattern of the user. The accuracy of the Netflix recommendations has been applauded within the industry and certainly offers a better option than merely reviewing the information provided by production studios on the sleeves of a DVD.
Each movie service offers different convenience advantages for home movie viewers. Determining whether movie downloads, online movie rental, or use of the local video store is best, may be dependent upon the preferred viewing patterns of a user and their access to a computer or the proximity of a local video store.

5 Easy Ways to MLM Success
26.February, 2009
Why The Right Training Is So Paramount For Your MLM Success?
97% of networkers fail and fail miserably because of a lack of training , not the training provided by the company to position itself but the right training that would enable you to position yourself in the pathway of consumption of your products or services.
When I look closely at the MLM industry I can clearly see a conspiracy . Most of the network marketers are duped by their companies .It’s not easy to see this when you just sign up for a MLM program .Techniques taught by MLM companies work but only for the company not for the average person joining the business. Most of the network marketers are actually and only tools for their companies to position themselves in the market place. To be successful in network marketing you have to stop being a tool but must master marketing tools to grow huge organization.
Before I talk about what “works” let’s chat about things that you’ve been taught that have proven themselves over and over again to NOT WORK…
8 List Of Business Building Techniques Being Taught That Flat Out – Do Not Work…”
-Building a list of your friends and family: That is the so called warm market thing. Companies love teaching that. Why? If they have 100,000 associates and everyone builds a “list” the company is growing. But not your business…
-Passing out business cards, brochures, audios and DVD’S.
-3-way calling: this is one of the most counter productive method to grow a business, because it does not allow you to position yourself as an expert.
- Hotels meeting and driving all over the town. This has nothing to do with home based business .
-The product sales itself. If the product sale itself why would the company need you?
-Duplication myth . 3 who get 3 who get 3 and you’re rich .That never happen.
- Set up a web site share it with your neighbors or put on your business card.
This couldn’t be further from the truth. If you’ve done any type of marketing you’ve quickly realized that this isn’t the way to get the job done. Not even close. There truly is an art and science to how the site should be constructed, what to have on it and getting targeted visitors to your site that truly have a need and desire for what you’re marketing. Just having a website means absolutely nothing. It’s a tool that must be used properly and the vast majority of marketers have not been skilled on how to use it appropriately.
- Holding home parties will make you rich. How many leaders who are earning 6 figures income are holding home parties?
Now That We’ve Discussed A Few Techniques That Don’t
Work, Let’s Talk About What Does Work.
The 5 components that must exist to generate a mind blowing 6 figures income.
These components are not optional:
- You MUST Position yourself as an expert
- Use techniques that will enable you to expose your products and service to the masses.
- You must master the phone as a marketing tool.
- You must master the internet : it is an explosive tool
- Learn how to use the written word to enroll associates without speaking with them.
The right training is the one that gives you the chance to master the 5 components above. For more informations check out this web site www.100repsamonth.com

Backup Data Properly
26.February, 2009
Computer data can be very important to us, especially those of us who make a living on the computer. Over the last several years, the computer has grown on all of us, making our lives so much easier. For that very reason, itâs easy to tell that if we lost our computer data, it would completely destroy a majority of us.
Losing data can be an overwhelming thought to say the least. Computers store data, although machines have been known to fail. Even though the computer has become a lot more reliable over the years, it is virtually impossible to prevent computers from losing data.
You donât need to take this lying down through, as you can indeed fight back. The ideal way to ensure that you never lose your precious data, is to back it up and keep backing it up. You should back up your computer data at least once a week, with once per day being the recommended way to do it.
In the past, and even some today, the floppy disc is the main method used to back up computer data. Even though they store a small amount of data, they are easy to access, easy to use, and nearly every computer has one.
Those of you who are looking to take things to the next level should look into backing up your entire hard drive. Backing up your entire hard drive is something that everyone should do, as it is indeed one of the best and most reliable ways to backup your computer.
When you create a backup of your entire hard drive, it will copy all of your information, so if something happens youâll always have your data. Doing a full backup of your hard drive is great, although it can be very time consuming. To make matters worse, it is recommended that you create a backup at least once a week. On the other hand, if what you have on your computer is very important, youâll find it more than worth the effort and time needed to back things up.
Another way you can back up your data, programs, and files, is to burn them directly to a data CD or DVD. This way, you can select which files or folders you want to keep. If you use CD/RW or DVD/RW disks, you can continue to add information to them when you create a backup. If you donât use the RW (re-writable) media, then you wonât be able to go back and add more information to the disc.
Burning data directly to discs are the method of backup that most people are using these days, although backing up the entire hard drive is the preferred way of backing up your data. If you plan to use discs, youâll need either a CD or DVD burner, which you can get for a great price these days. The discs are cheap as well, which only makes this method of backing things up that much better.
Whether itâs for your business or for personal reasons, you canât go wrong backing up your data. You should always strive to back things up properly, as this will ensure that the data will always be there when you need it. This way, if you computer happens to crash or you lose everything on your hard drive, youâll always have your backup files to go back to. This in itself can save you a lot of time, effort, and quite possibly even money - just for the simple fact that the files are all but a copy away to restore.

Why Home Movie Videotapes Don’t Last Forever
24.February, 2009
The chemical makeup of popular home movie videotape formats unfortunately ensures that they are extremely susceptible to three elements: the passing of time, the number of times they are played or duplicated, and the environment in which they are stored. Unless these tapes are transferred to digital formats, their images and audio will eventually be lost and irretrievable.
Overview
There are three elements to home movie videotape formats that contribute to its eventual degradation, although most consumers are unaware of these factors. These are time, usage, and environment. While camcorder videotape became popular in the 1980s as an inexpensive method for shooting footage of family movies, unfortunately it is not a permanent or durable medium.
Most experts agree that analog videotape begins to degrade after only 10 years. The most clear evidence begins with loss of audio quality (sounds goes in and out) or image quality (distorted pixels, wavy lines, dark or blanked out visuals). As these tapes sit stored in family basements and garages, they are literally withering away. When they are finally brought out and played again, it often comes as a surprise to the owner that the once-clear tape they remembered from a few years ago is now a grainy, dull version of what it once was.
Sometimes consumers have the VHS tapes transferred to digital without first viewing the condition of the tape. Thus, they donât know how much degradation has already occurred. The digital conversion preserves the footage as it was at that point in time. Or, they are unaware that while the tape may still play sufficiently well in the original camcorder in which it was shot, it will not be able to play well anywhere else. This is because the original equipment âheadsâ (which convert signals from electrical to magnetic) line up exactly with the tape. Not being able to show the footage on any other device except on the original camera, however, prevents others from enjoying it fully. Additionally, in many cases, the original camcorder is not operational (broken, missing cables) or not available.
Culprit #1: Time
The first enemy of videotape is the simple passing of time. Like most physical media, the elements that went into the creation of the tape break down bit by bit over time. Tape loses its magnetic particles as well as its lubricants. This is an unavoidable but realistic factor and has resulted in the loss of hundreds of thousands of valuable feet of footage that once were extremely vibrant.
Culprit #2: Usage/Duplication
Unlike DVDs, in which a laser âreadsâ the data without ever touching the physical disk, a videotape makes contact with the equipment heads every time it is played. This eventually wears down the tape. And every time a copy or âdupeâ is made of the tape, each successive âgenerationâ loses quality and clarity.
Culprit #3: Environment
The third major enemy to videotape is the environment, including heat, moisture, mildew, water, and so on. These elements react with the materials that comprise the videotape, and cause warping, distortion, and brittleness. Eventually the tape will be unreadable in any type of player.
Videotape is Magnetic
Understanding the chemical makeup of videotape is helpful in realizing why it is so fragile. It consists of a layer of tiny magnetic particles applied to Mylar as part of the manufacturing process. These particles act like tiny bar magnets, so that when the tape passes over an electromagnet, information is recorded and played back. These particles carry the video signal and are changed into patterns during the recording process. When the tape is played back, the patterns are picked up by a playback head and become the video image. (For more information, visit www.answers.com). By virtue of its physical nature, therefore, videotape can suffer any number of mishaps that arenât present in the digital world, such as stretching, breaking, and loss of magnetic quality.
Solution
Analog videotape was popularized in the 1970s and 1980s, and fortunately helped introduce a new generation of families to the benefits of home movie making. These memories need to be preserved for future generations, however, and the best method is to transfer them to contemporary digital formats, such as DVDs. Once the older physical media is transferred into an electronic file, it can be more easily shared, enjoyed, and distributed without worry of degradation.

Are Netflix DVD's Burnable?

I never heard of burnt resistant film. I burn Netflix dvds all the time.
What is a Master Disc?
22.February, 2009
A Master disc is a disc that is supplied to a duplication or replication house for the information to be copied on to blank discs as many times as required. Whether it is audio, software, a presentation or videos. This disc is used as the “master†copy. It is loaded onto the CD/DVD duplication towers, which burns whatever is on the disc its hard drive. It then uses that data on the hard drive and duplicates onto blank media (discs).
A glass master, which is also known as a “stamper†is utilised to stamp all of the data pits into a CD or DVD – this process is called replication. It’s called a “glass master†because a circular block of glass is used, in which the data is pressed onto a special chemical coating. This glass block is actually bigger than normal size CD – 240mm in diameter and 6mm thick. The reason for this is because the discs need to be handled in a way so that the sensitive data area is not scathed or damaged. Even minuscule scratches or scathes can affect the quality of the discs to prevent this the glass master is polished until it’s perfectly smooth.
The milieu in which the glass mastering process is performed in has to be of the highest and cleanest quality. The room itself is a “Class 100†clean room (this is up to 12 times cleaner than an operating theatre). This room is designed not to allow more than 100 particles per cubic foot of air. Your typical working surrounding or office building consists from 500,000 to 1,000,000 per cubic foot of air – very interesting I hear you say! The main particles that can affect the quality of the glass master are dust, pollen and smoke particles.
The replication process takes a lot longer to complete than the duplication process. It is a cheaper but re-assuring method of copying discs. The duplication, although quicker, is dearer and not as quality assured as the replication process.
Some people like to email or upload data to duplication or replication houses for it then to be created as a master. I would strongly recommend against this as there is potential for the data to be corrupted during transfer. This may not be picked up until it gets to the end user. The duplication/replication house will then be held responsible for faulty data.
When dealing with audio masters you will find that production/record companies prefer to finance the creation of masters. This then becomes the property of the record companies. They tend to have an interest in building their catalogue of albums. They even go as far as not taking on independent artists if they have financed the creation of their master themselves. This deal between the artist and the Production Company is called a “spec†deal.
