I made a photo slideshow on windows movie maker. Loaded it to a dvd that will only play on my computer, not a dvd player. If I buy avs video converter, will I be able to convert it and then burn to a playable dvd? I know I need a burner and thought my computer had one, but now am not sure. Help!!!

From what you said so far, you *do* have a DVD burner because you said you "loaded it to a dvd that will only play on my computer". You simply did NOT create a "video DVD" (which plays on a DVD player).

As far as I can tell, AVS Video Converter doesn't read Windows Movie Maker's output, unless WMM outputs to one of the formats that AVS does read. And keep in mind that the AVS output is watermarked unless you pay them the registration fee.

There are a few things that you need.

    1. Always "CLOSE THE SESSION" and "FINALIZE THE DISK" when burning a DVD that you intend to play on another device.

    2. Does your photo slideshow make a Menu? Most DVD players need that.

I recommend Wondershare Movie Story which is a professional software that can create DVD photo slideshows with photos, video clips and music and publish MPEG/AVI/WMV/MP4/3GP for YouTube or burn CD/DVDs.

What it attract me is its plenty 2D/3D transitions and Ken-Burns effects.

CD or DVD created by Movie Story can actually play in the DVD player, you can enjoy your own movie on TV.

FlV file download from YouTube can be edit directly with Movie Story. You can not only burn flv to DVD but also edit it and create DVD menu.
