I have a Dell, I only got it within the last two years. I can definatley watch dvd's, but how do I know if I can burn them. Please help. I have to do a slide show for my grandpa's funeral and I have to burn it onto a dvd.

Check it on device manager in the control panel, you'll see if it is CD/DVD.

Open my computer and it should show you DVD/CD-RW drive on your CD drive. Make sure there is no CD inside when you are gonna check that. Good Luck !

I would check the specs on the box it came in or find the model you have online and checking it by that

Or maybe an easier way… look at the access door to the DVD drive, mine actually says DVD RW/R.
But you will also need the software to burn the DVD, so make sure you have something that will do that. Most computers that come with the burner have some type of software to use it, so that shouldn't be a problem.
