How to Make Backups of Your Wii Games Easily
07.March, 2010
As the Wii gets increasingly popular, and demand for it goes up, an inevitable question starts to surface - To Burn Wii games or not to?
Wii games are expensive, so can you imagine the pain if you accidentally scratch your latest Wii game disc, and you have only played it for a few times? Continue reading to discover how to create backups by burning Wii Games.
But before you get yourself involved, it is important that you know the copyright laws in your area. Make sure that it is perfectly legal for you to burn Wii games, as long as you own the original, and that you will only be using the copies for personal reasons.
First, you will need to use the your computer and a special kind of DVD drive in order to get it to work. Some examples include the LG-816 series, namely 8161b, 8162b, or 8163b. If you are unsure, you can always search for these DVD drives on Google. You will be able to get tons of information there. And when you have located the disc drives and are wondering where to get them, you could check out your nearby computer store or buy it online via eBay or any electronics site.
Next, you have to make an image of your game disc, before you can starting burning the games. Besides the DVD drive, you’ll need to set up some software called .net Framework 2.0, and Raw Dump 2.0.
Then, the next thing to do is to put your game your LG DVD Drive. When it’s in, open the Raw Dump file (should have been created after installation) and double click on the rawdump.exe file to start the rawdump program.
Once rawdump is open, there will be a dialog box that appears. Click on the button that says Start Dump, and you’ll before long be ready to burn Wii games. The time taken to burn the games varies and is largely dependent on the size of the files on the DVD, and the speed of your computer. Waiting time can range from anything between 1 hour to up to 5 hours, if your computer is slow.
Once that is done, you should see a fresh ISO file in the rawdump folder, having the same name as the game that you have copied. To explain in non-jargon, an ISo file is basically a identical image of what had been on the disc previously.
The last 2 parts of the procedure are likely the simplest things you are required to do when you burn Wii games. First, once the dump is done, right click on the fresh file and click “Properties”. Look out for the size of the file. All Wii Games ISOs are 4.7 Gb in size, which is the size on a blank DVD, which means that the image dump has copied everything from the disc. If the size is different from this, you would need to begin the process again, as it is simply not possible to burn Wii games if the ISO file sizes are wrong.
Once the size of the file is right, what you are required to complete the burning of the Wii games is to get a preferable burning software, start up a new project, and get it to burn the ISO image file onto a new blank DVD. I recommend using better qulity discs here, as low quality discs could compromise on the games and sometimes the games could end up being unreadable.
Now that you have burned your Wii games, how do you play them? There are two ways here - Either get your Wii fitted with a modchip, or you could choose to modify your SD card. Both methods are discussed on many sites on the net, so you can do a search for those tutorials. As you have just read, it is definitely possible to burn Wii games, but do be sure to check out your local laws and regulations.
If that is too much work for you, there are Wii Download Sites that allow you unlimited games downloads for a one time membership free. Those sites are becoming very popular because of the unlimited access and the variety of games and media available. Check out this review to find the site that offers the best Wii Downloads offer!

Baseball survey of tomorrow…. today (lol)!!: In this situation…?
Okay. I’m going to give you a situation and you will say what YOU’D (out of you own opinion) do. When you must pick a player, make sure that player is on your team. Let’s go:
1. Name your favorite team please. (sorry, I know it gets repetitive.)
2. One of your starting pitchers is getting released. Who do you let loose?
3. A trade deal was done with one of the Los Angeles teams. Which team do you trade with, Angels or Dodgers? Who do you send and who do you get? **Note: doesn’t have to be reasonable but both players must be starting position players, not backups or pitchers.
4. Your favorite outfielder signed somewhere new (assume their contract was over). Who is it? Where would you you want them to go and why?
5. Your favorite infielder just signed with the rival team. What team did they go to? Who left? How do you react?
6. Bottom of the 9th, down by one run, person on 3rd, 2 outs… Who do you want up to bat?
7. Game 7 of the World Series. Who do you pick to pitch?!
———————————————
BQs:
1.Who are you 3 favorite players in the other league besides there team? If your team is in the AL, pick your 3 fave NL players. NL team fans pick 3 AL players.
2. Who can guess my 3 favorite NL players? **Hint, one is easily found on my profile page.
Shiningstar, "Noooo, come back Jacoby!" hahahaha. Couldn’t say it better myself! I’d probably cry too if Pedroia joined the Yankees (i’m such a wuss, lol!! …not really. but it would just be so insane!!)
08.March, 2010 um 1:03 am
1)Cardinals
2)Brad Penny
3)Dodgers (Julio Lugo-Andre Ethier)
4)Matt Holliday (Rays-So we wouldn’t have to face him, he could help them against NY and Bos)
5)Cubs, Albert Pujols, forget about baseball until he retires!
6)I think you know…..
7)Adam Wainwright

1. Name your favorite team please. (sorry, I know it gets repetitive.)
-Yankees
2. One of your starting pitchers is getting released. Who do you let loose?
-Joba Chamberlain. I never was a big fan of his…..
3. A trade deal was done with one of the Los Angeles teams. Which team do you trade with, Angels or Dodgers? Who do you send and who do you get? **Note: doesn’t have to be reasonable but both players must be starting position players, not backups or pitchers.
-Jered Weaver for Chamberlain
4. Your favorite outfielder signed somewhere new (assume their contract was over). Who is it? Where would you you want them to go and why?
-Nick Swisher…Cardinals, no reason.
5. Your favorite infielder just signed with the rival team. What team did they go to? Who left? How do you react?
Derek Jeter to the Red Sox?! Lets just say i’d be pissed…
6. Bottom of the 9th, down by one run, person on 3rd, 2 outs… Who do you want up to bat?
-Captian Clutch, Derek Jeter:)
7. Game 7 of the World Series. Who do you pick to pitch?!
-Andy Pettitte if he’s still sharp. If not than i’d say CC.
BQ: David Wright, Albert Pujols, and Alfonso Soriano
BQ2: um. I’m not sure.. haha

1. White Sox
2. Freddy Garcia, why do the White Sox still have him?
3. Daniel Hudson and Juan Pierre for Juan Rivera, sounds reasonable, right?
4. Carlos Quentin to the Rockies so he could flourish there (I would wish him good luck)
5. Gordon Beckham to the Cubs? I’d be speechless, but I guess I can see why they would want someone who could fill in for second base for them.
6. Not many good options here. Although Alexei Ramirez is hitting .321 with RISP with 2 outs, so I’d go with him.
7. Probably Mark Buehrle. I can’t trust Peavy and his 10+ ERA in the playoffs
BQ:
1. 3 fave NL players: Matt Kemp, David Wright, and Chase Utley
2. Is Lugo still on the Cardinals? I know Kemp for sure, but I’ll guess Lugo and Lincecum

2.Javy Vasquez
3.We send Randy Winn to the Angels to get my boy Matsui back where he belongs.
4.That actually happened to me. It was Matsui. He went to the Angels, but I wanted him to stay.
5.Derek Jeter goes to the Redsox. I’m too shocked to speak for about 4 days.
6.Derek Jeter or Hideki Matsui
7.Andy Pettite, no doubt about it.
BQ’s
1.Chase Utley, David Wright, Tim Lincecum
2.Well we got Kemp. For the other two I’ll say Utley cause he’s awesome, and Jason Bay cause he was a Redsock last year.

1) Boston
2)Dice K
3) Dodgers, Mike lowell + J.D. Drew for andre Either, or Matt Kemp
4) Jacoby, resigned with boston
5) Pedroia, toronto i would be pissed but it obviously wouldn’t happen
6) Big Papi, always comes through in crunch time even if hes getting old; wouldn’t mind Youk or Pedroia either
7) Depends who we play. If it is an NL team we haven’t played before i wouldn’t mind pitching Wakefield, but it would be a big risk. The best move would easily be Jon Lester

BQ’s
1.Evan Longoria, Torii Hunter, Joe Mauer

1. Cincinnati Reds Professional Base Ball Club
2. Aaron Harang. Old and hasn’t been productive for 2 years now.
3. Angels: Hanigan, Alonso/ Mathis, Aybar, Kendrik (by your rules)
4. Drew Stubbs. Minnesota Twins, because I like them and they could use a good CF.
5. Joey Votto. Chicago Cubs. Hope the Reds beat them, get a bit angry, and move on.
6. Joey Votto, hands down.
7. Bronson Arroyo, I guess. He could give me several innings, and maybe handle the pressure. And of course, he has a ring already.
BQs:
1. Joe Mauer, he’s a beast. Derek Jeter, even though he’s a hated Yankee, I like the work ethic and the great all-around non-steroid-enhanced performance. Jeff Mathis. His performance in the ALCS made me an instant fan, even though the Angels lost the series to the afore-mentioned hated Yankees.
2. Pedroia, Ellsbury, Papelbon. They’re ALL on your page.

1. Dodgers!
2. Well im not sure who our 5th starter is yet so if its Mcdonald then i say him. I never liked that guy.
3. Well, dodgers haha. Im confused what team do i use? If your asking who i would want off the dodger team then i would trade for Kemp.
4. Ethier. Maybe the As cause i like them and if i had to pick a team other than the dodgers id route for the As
5. Giants! bleh! haha Casey Blake. I would cry. Casey is my favorite player.
6. Anyone in the league? Id say Ichiro (contact hitter) and that goes with saying the other team wouldn’t walk him. On my team Id put Kemp up there.
7. In the League id pick Halladay. On my team Kershaw
1. Derek Jeter, Cliff Lee, Michael Young. There might be others but that’s off the top of my head.
2. WOO your a Matt Kemp fan too?! that’s awesome! haha i didn’t even know. Ok so Matt Kemp, hmmm ill go with Albert Pujols (since for some reason everyone likes him) and Ethier cause hes likable.

1. Name your favorite team please. (sorry, I know it gets repetitive.)
~~~New York Yankees
2. One of your starting pitchers is getting released. Who do you let loose?
~~~So easy: Javier Vasquez.
3. A trade deal was done with one of the Los Angeles teams. Which team do you trade with, Angels or Dodgers? Who do you send and who do you get?
~~~Angels. We get Hideki Matsui back, and Torii Hunter, they get Brett Gardner and Nick Johnson.
4. Your favorite outfielder signed somewhere new (assume their contract was over). Who is it? Where would you want them to go and why?
~~~Well, my favorite outfileder last year was Melky Cabrera, and he did get traded, if we are assuming that his contract is up with the Braves, then I would want him to sign with the Yankees of course! But if it’s an outfielder that is still on my team, I would want Nick Swisher to go to the Cubs, because I’m a bit selfish and I could still see him play! But if I am being selfless, then I would want him to go to the Phillies, so he can still have a great oppourtunity to win!
5. Your favorite infielder just signed with the rival team. What team did they go to? Who left? How do you react?
~~omfg, if Derek Jeter ever signed with the Red Sox, I think I would go insane. Nightmare.
6. Bottom of the 9th, down by one run, person on 3rd, 2 outs… Who do you want up to bat?
~~~Captain Clutch! (Derek Jeter) Because whenever he’s at bat, I just have a feeling that everything is gonna be ok….even if he can’t get the run in this time, then the Yankees will try their best to get ‘em tomorrow. But I have complete faith in Derek Jeter, he will get the walk off win!
7. Game 7 of the World Series. Who do you pick to pitch?!
~~~Andy Pettitte. Andy is very good in high pressure games, I believe. He got all 3 clinching games in the postseason! =]

BQs:
1.Who are you 3 favorite players in the other league besides there team? If your team is in the AL, pick your 3 fave NL players. NL team fans pick 3 AL players.
~~~Melky Cabrera- Atlanta Braves
Troy Tulowitzki- Colorado Rockies
Derrek Lee- Chicago Cubs.
2. Who can guess my 3 favorite NL players? **Hint, one is easily found on my profile page.
~~~Umm lets see….Albert Pujols, Matt Kemp, annnndddd…..idk how about Melky Cabrera? =P

1. San Francisco Giants
2. Wow this is a tough one. I would say Zito, because he’s the oldest and the rest of our young talent is too good to give up.
3. Angels, can’t trade with the division rivals. And I would trade Jonathan Sanchez for Torii Hunter. We need a bat like his.
4. My favorite outfielder is Nate Schierholtz, and hmmm I could see him signing with a team thats doing major rebuilding like the Pirates or Nationals or Royals.
5. Favorite infielder is Pablo Sandoval, and unfortunately he would be with the Dodgers :[ And I would be depressed, our best hitter just went to our rivals.
6. Pablo Sandoval, seriously on the Giants who else is there?
7. Tim Lincecum, 2-time Cy Young award winner is the way to go.
BQs:
1. Joe Mauer, Ichiro Suzuki, Aaron Hill
2. Matt Kemp, uhhh Tim Lincecum, and Roy Halladay?
This survey was fun. Keep making more :]

2. Umm.. wow that’s so hard. I can’t even choose. If Lackey doesn’t do well this season then him, but if I had to choose at this moment.. I don’t know. Buchholz I guess if I HAD to choose =/
3. Angels. Torii Hunter for Mike Cameron.
4. Noooo, come back Jacoby! =P I would be sad but wish him luck. Wouldn’t mind where he goes as long as it’s not the Yankees!!!!
5. I can’t believe Pedroia would EVER go to the Yankees. Ever. He’s not that kind of guy who would sign with the biggest rival just because they’re offering more money. (And I would cry, lol.)
6. Probably Victor Martinez, he was so clutch when he was with the Sox the second half.
7. On my team… Jon Lester. You know what’s interesting, Lackey, Lester AND Beckett have all won the deciding Game 7 of a World Series, and all before the age of 24. Pretty cool =)
EDIT: Ah sorry I forgot the BQs!
BQ1: NL… Pujols. I like Chase Utley as well and I guess.. Ryan Howard.
BQ2: Matt Kemp of course =P And.. Jayson Werth I think, and Andre Ethier?

1. Yankees.
2. Whoever is going to start in our 5th spot this year. Everyone else (for the most part) has proved themselves.
3. Nick Johnson for Hideki Matsui.
4. Nick Swisher.. and I’m not sure where I’d send him. Maybe back to the White Sox if that’s where he wanted to go? I don’t know!
5. Derek Jeter to the Red Sox. LOL, I don’t even know how to explain how I’d react. I’d probably think it was some sort of sick joke and not believe it until I saw him playing for them. And yet.. I’d have to wish him the best because I love him so much! But I’d be speechless.
6. Derek Jeter, if anyone could do it he can. He makes things happen.
7. Andy Pettitte, he has the postseason experience.
BQs:
1. Albert Puljos, Chase Utley, David Wright.
2. No clue.
