What is the fastest DVD burning software?
01.December, 2008
I want to burn a video off my PC to a blank DVD disc. I tried Nero, but it is way too slow. It takes about 1:30 hours. I've got 1GB RAM on my PC, and I'm looking for the fastest DVD burner, with amazing quality and sound, and it has to be compatible with as many DVD players as possible.
Thanks for your time.
All software burns at the same speed, its the burner that you need to be asking about. You can get a 16x DVD burner for 15 $ at walmart.

The problem is not Nero, it's going slow because of your system, not the program.
Nero is the top burner program out there, has been for years, and it doesn't go slow like that on my system, in fact it burns a cd so fast that I barely have finished hitting "start" before it's done.

The speed that you write video to DVD depends solely on your DVD drive. If you look at the specifications you will see read and write speeds. Your write speed is how fast you will be able to write any data.

Getting a faster DVD Burner would solve the problem. The speed of the player is the most important thing. Nero is the best in my opinion. It may be a setting problem. It shouldn't take that long, unless you have a really slow Burner or it's accidentally set to a slow speed. The Disc speed is also important.

If your DVD Player is a new one, You do not need to recode your video using Nero(which takes about 45 min, hope you are mentioning about that).
Just write it as a DVD Data Disc (if your video files are in the format .avi or Dvd rips & etc….) and your Player can instantly recognise it…..

If you're interested in burning ISO files and stuff like that, get Daemon Tools.

I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, on windows, never had a problem!
It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!
it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it
1. Download ConvertXtoDVD from vso official site here:
http://www.vso-software.fr/download_product_direct.php?product=convertxtodvd&ap=regnow&aid=56510
It can convert any video file.. like wmv, mpeg, asf, mp4, avi to dvd
2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle
3. Insert blank DVD
4. Click "Convert"
5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)
ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too,
for example you can make your own DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.
