What Is The Long Play DVD Burning Option?

On my dvd burning program there are four available burning options:
High Quality (takes up the most space)
Good Quality
Standard Quality
Long Play (takes up the least space)

Could somebody please explain to me what exactly the last option is.

The long play would take up less disk but be lower quality video.

    It compresses the video files to take up less space. However some of the picture quality will be lost in the process.
