Blank single layer DVD-R's usually cost about 30 cents a piece if you buy them in a hundred pack. It will require some compression to copy most DVD movies, but the quality will still be excellent. Double Layer DVDs media are more expensive, like about 2 bucks a piece, but can be copied without compression. Software is available for free.
